Becoming a member of the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust can mean more than just paying annual dues. New members become part of a greater community, a sort of family, with strong interests in land protection and quality of life issues. Members provide instrumental resources to preserve treasured landscapes and maintain necessary functions of the organization. Members are invited to participate in OWLT's volunteer events, which are scheduled in the spring and fall, and annual events such as the Fish Boil, educational seminars, bus tours, picnics, and open houses at our properties. Members also receive quarterly newsletters with the most up-to-date information on projects, volunteerism and events, while also enjoying tax deduction on membership fees and donations.
We look forward to welcoming you into our Land Trust family.
Other ways to participate and express your commitment to land preservation include:
- Granting a conservation easement on your land to the OWLT
- Gifts of cash, stocks, or bonds
- Outright gifting of land
- Gifts of office furniture or equipment
- Donations of services, such as photography, graphic design, office tasks, project support, etc
- Naming the OWLT as a beneficiary in your will
- Becoming a land steward of your own property
