About the event

OWLT and the Lutheran Church Of The Great Spirit are pleased to offer this acknowledgment ceremony.

Join us as we gather to honor this land as sacred to the original indigenous people who inhabited this place. We give thanks for their presence on this land since time immemorial. We also wish to recognize and honor all our Indigenous siblings who have and continue to call this land their home. We desire today to lift up the invaluable wisdom and creativity of indigenous people given to us from times past and continuing on through today. The event includes song drumming.

Special thank you to Pastor Karen Kuttler and Shelley Bruehling from The Lutheran Church Of The Great Spirit in Milwaukee and registered members of the Oneida nation.

Protect & Preserve - Spirit Lake Nature Preserve is offered as part of OWLT's special event, the community-wide Treasures of OZ.

Treasures of Oz is one fun-filled day that may change your life! Discover things that enrich your life, learn to reduce stress in nature, find opportunities for recreation and meaningful volunteering, have a memorable adventure, and connect with others who love the outdoors and natural places.

Donations welcome!
