Ozaukee Washington Land Trust Turns 30

It's a Celebration!

This summer marks the 30th Anniversary of the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust’s beginnings in 1992 with the creation of the Ozaukee Land Trust. Originally founded by a group of residents concerned with the rapidly changing landscape, a decline in the rural character, and access to natural spaces. The Land Trust has grown from protecting a small area in Ozaukee County to protecting over 7,000 acres across Ozaukee and Washington Counties.

Through your dedication, volunteer hours, support, and environmental awareness the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust has offered several miles of trail, access to Lake Michigan shoreline, and conservation opportunities to the surrounding community.

We are committed to our mission, to protect and steward land and water for the benefit of all, and continue in our vision of inspiring people to engage with nature by ensuring that habitats, working land, and water resources are conserved, connected and resilient.
