Belle Bergner, Operations Director
Belle Bergner joined the land trust team in a full-time capacity in November 2024 after serving in contractor roles. Originally from the East Coast, Belle has been a happy Midwest transplant for over 21 years. Belle oversees the day-to-day operations of the land trust and provides direction and strategy to ensure the organization runs smoothly and efficiently. Belle develops and implements plans and structure to align operations with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Belle has 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector from leadership to grant writing and community organizing. She has an MS in Ecology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College. Serving the mission of the land trust is the perfect blend of her passion and interests. She enjoys finding time to identify native plants in the land trust’s preserves and going for walks or bike rides when she isn’t at one of her kids’ soccer, hockey, climbing, or other activities.
